It's now officially Mad Scramble time in the preparations for Christmas. Are you still making your Christmas cards? I have some information here about inks that might help you along.
Pigment Inks : create beautiful crisp clear colours. They are acid free and fade resistant.
Brilliance - It is a special pigment ink that dries on surfaces that traditional pigment inks won't. It was designed for use on shiny papers. It dries fairly quickly but slow enough to emboss.
VersaColor - A pigment ink perfect for most stamping techniques. It is archival safe and comes in a large range of colours. Suitable for embossing, stencilling and archival projects.
Chalk Inks: A subtle powder finish ink that can be blended before it dries. It is acid free and archival safe. It creates opaque colours, even on darker coloured papers.
Versamagic - The chalk finish adds a soft touch. It does not smear after drying. And can be used on vellum, shrink plastic, polymer clay, wood, leather, cardstock and more.
Staz On Ink: Is a solvent based ink. This means it can dry on surfaces that other inks won't, especially non-porous and semi-porous surfaces like metal, glass, plastic, foil etc. It is non-toxic smelling and can be cleaned off stamps with Staz On Ink Cleaner. It is archival safe and will not harm rubber stamps.
VersaMark Ink: A pigment ink with a difference which allows for a number of techniques like watermarking, tone-on-tone images, resist images. It's also quite sticky and can be used as a glue for chalks and embossing powders. Very versatile and acid free.
Helpful Hints: To maintain longevity of your stamps, store them in a cool dry place away from sunlight. Clean after use with a baby wipe or stamp cleaning solution. To improve cling on acrylic stamps, wash in warm soapy water and allow to dry thoroughly. Do not submerse wooden blocks in water.
